Making a splash
The proposed site for Tipton's new swimming centre is the Little Burton Estate on Alexandra Road, to replace the existing facility. It is thought that the centre will contain a 25m six-lane pool, a learner pool, a refreshment area, fitness suite and multi-purpose room.
And the proposed site for the new leisure centre in West Bromwich is Jesson Playing Fields, off Old Meeting Street in Carters Green. It is intended that the leisure centre will contain a 25m six-lane pool, a learner pool, a four-court sports hall, fitness suite, refreshment area, outdoor all-weather sports facilities and improved grass pitches.
