Sandwell is having a Big Spring Clean!

In the last two years, more than 6,000 people have mucked in to help rid Sandwell of litter. And now Sandwell’s triple award-winning Big Spring Clean is back!

We all know that litter attracts more litter, so SMBC would like you to get together with your friends, workmates, clients and customers to have fun and give Sandwell the litter-blitzing treatment.

You may want to give your street, neighbourhood or local park a makeover. Wherever it is in the borough, SMBC can help you make it happen.

And you can get fit at the same time! This year, the Big Spring Clean has got together with the 5 x 30 ‘Time to Get Active’ campaign. By helping keep Sandwell clean and tidy, you will also be achieving at least one of your five recommended 30 minutes of exercise a week.

Big Spring Clean events kick off in March and run right through till the end of April. Big Spring Clean volunteers will be given gloves, litter pickers and bags on arrival at events. Any cans, glass bottles and paper collected will be recycled.
