One Stop Shop allows Sandwell firms to showcase their products and services to hundreds of council employees and visitors. Giving firms a free exhibition stand in the foyer area of Sandwell Council House in Oldbury is just one of the ways we help to support business-to-consumer (B2C) enterprises and encourage people to shop closer to home.
We recently featured a One Stop Shop success story from
Richard Woodward of Hometyre.
On Friday 7 May it was the turn of Doreth Abrahams [pictured] from Oldbury to exhibit in our One Stop Shop. Doreth is a representative for the Utility Warehouse Discount Club. To encourage people to sign up for her services and save money on their bills, Doreth and two colleagues used their One Stop Shop slot to promote their 'Win a MINI' competition.
"We spoke to 50 potential customers and entered them into a free prize draw to win a brand new £14,000 BMW MINI," said Doreth. "To date 28 of those who entered have signed up as customers. I still have 15 people to contact to arrange to see in relation to saving over £900 a year on their utility bills."
Doreth was full of praise for finditinsandwell - in particular team member Maria Kyriacou.
"I attended a finditinsandwell Breakfast Club and spoke with Maria about setting up a one stop drop-in clinic. She said that
there is one in place already and I could put my name on the list to take part. A cancellation came through and I grabbed it with both hands! Maria has been absolutely brilliant. She helped out with the display on the day and made sure everything went smoothly."
