'Growing Green' event with Advantage West Midlands
Date added:
23 February 2010
Calling all West Midlands businesses: win more work locally and contribute to a greener supply chain! finditinsandwell has teamed up with Advantage West Midlands and sponsors bring you a huge networking and insight day on Thursday 18 March.
There is a growing need to develop green technology. Wouldn’t it be great to do your bit for the environment, reduce your bottom-line expenditure AND secure more business?
finditinsandwell’s next big event will showcase some of the biggest Midlands organisations currently operating in the ‘green’ market. These are leading developers and producers of renewable energy solutions, eco-building technology and greener transport solutions, and they are changing the way we build and work.
Our aims?
* To show you how huge the scope is for doing business with these organisations - and let you hear first-hand about the materials, components and fabrications they need from suppliers like you.
* The event will show you how to make changes today to improve your energy efficiency and reduce your production costs tomorrow.
* If you do have a patent or just an idea for a green product, we will bring you support and advice on taking it to market.
We’re not expecting you to change your business model and start making wind turbines or rechargeable electric cars. We’re just trying to get designers, manufacturers and likeminded professionals working closely together, to create a green Midlands supply chain, boost our local economy and help people reduce their carbon footprints and 'material mileage'.
As well as bringing you valuable business leads, networking opportunities and inspirational speakers, this CPD-certified event will include a learning ‘zone’, where you can attend seminars on innovation in design and environmental issues in engineering, and learn how to access £billions of green development grants.
There may also be the chance to secure one-to-one interviews with green industry experts tasked with tackling climate change, plus ‘breakout’ spaces to hold meetings with new contacts.
High-profile organisations and industry leaders already confirmed as exhibitors include Balfour Beatty, Birmingham City Council, Corus, Crown Paints, East End Foods, E.ON, Interserve, Keltruck, National Express, Network Rail, Royal Institute of British Architects, Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council, Thomas Vale and Westinghouse - with more to be announced soon.
