Help with funding for manufacturers

Date added: 10 January 2012

To help local manufacturers take advantage of new funding opportunities and support becoming available this year, the Black Country Chamber of Commerce is holding an event on Thursday 19 January.

This is alongside partners Manufacturing Advisory Consortium (MAC), the National Metalforming Centre, West Midlands Manufacturing Club and UK Trade & Investment.

The Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS) is offering new help for manufacturers in 2012, which could generate £1.5bn-worth of growth and create 23,000 jobs. Funding from £1000 to £10,000 is available for specific projects.

At the event, Simon Griffiths, area director of MAC, will outline how the new MAS is designed to support all manufacturers in retaining and increasing employment, improving productivity and delivering significant growth to the UK economy.

The event will help you learn how to take advantage of this service. Come along and discover new funding sources, while making your business needs known to MAC.

The event takes place on Thursday 19 January from 4pm to 6pm at the National Metalforming Centre, 47 Birmingham Road, West Bromwich B70 6PY. It costs £15 plus VAT for manufacturers, or £25 plus VAT for non-manufacturers.
