Funding available for SMEs in Sandwell

Date added: 03 February 2012

Marketing Birmingham Ltd is running an exciting new programme aimed at businesses in Birmingham, the Black Country and Solihull that want to buck the economic trend and grow now.

It is offering funding and support to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the region through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) programme.

The ERDF is focused on reducing economic disparities within and between member states by supporting economic regeneration and safeguarding jobs.

The programme aims to deliver two days of business support to 500 SMEs across the Priority 3 areas of Birmingham, the Black Country and Solihull in 2012.

The opportunities for local SMEs include a tailored package of:
* Specialist business advice
* A series of high impact workshops (marketing and communications, access to new markets, sales techniques and many others)
* Opportunities to attend trade shows and exhibitions (such as finditinsandwell’s Growing Green 2012) where you can meet potential new customers and boost your order book.

If you are part of an SME and would like to receive some funding and support to help grow your business the first step to take is to find out whether your organisation is eligible by completing the online expression of interest form at http://businessbirmingham.com/services/erdf-opportunities.

Unfortunately due to ERDF regulations this opportunity in not on offer to organisations in the retail or construction sectors.
