Business Engagement

Businesses often become frustrated by the perceived bureaucracy associated in dealing with the public sector. For businesses, "time is money" and any delays in processing applications or awaiting feedback can be costly. Well that is no longer the case in Sandwell.

Sandwell MBC’s Economic Regeneration & Skills Division have recently recruited Business Engagement Officers whose sole purpose is to provide the primary interface between the Council and the local business community on all Council related business support activities.

The Business Engagement officer can provide local businesses with:

• Access to a range of business support services provided by Sandwell MBC.

• Ease of access to Council departments providing regulatory business support functions.

• Access to a range of business support services provided by key partners located within the Black Country/West Midlands/Nationally.

• Access to information and advice on pre and post employment training together with general recruitment support and advice.

• Property Searches

• A voice to proactively promote Sandwell businesses within the Council and at the wider Black Country/West Midlands level.

• An information source.

• A friendly ear to listen to business-related concerns and offer impartial advice.
